Reviews
This is our second out of season visit to La Trapera. Our preference is to visit out of season to enjoy the peace and tranquility. The site, run by a lovely, friendly family, is located in a beautiful valley. The pitches are clearly marked and each pitch has its own electricity and water connection. The toilet/shower block is modern and kept immaculately clean. Lunch at the restaurant is an experience not to be missed, the food is superb. This location is a paradise for walkers or cyclists. Directly from the site you have access to paths roads and tracks to suit every interest and ability. Our preference was simply to walk up into the hills along the stream running next to the site. We picked hawthorn berries and enjoyed homemade hawthorn ketchup for the rest of our holiday. A round trip (easy walk) of just over a mile takes you into pradoluengo, where there is a well stocked supermarket, banks etc. We cannot recommend this site highly enough.
We stayed in one of the glamping tents in December. They are really unique and nicely furnished; and the heater kept us warm even at night when it dropped down to 3 degrees (we did bring lots of warm clothing too). The restaurant on site is amazing and a very nice treat to have while camping. The family who runs the campsite is lovely too ☺️
This was by far the best campsite I stayed at during my trip through Spain! The family that runs it is so kind, genuine, and helpful. The restaurant isn’t open for dinner in the off season, so we had a late lunch when we arrived - the food was incredible! Best tiramisu I’ve ever had. The campsite is quite secluded which made it such a peaceful and magical stay. I will 100% come back to Spain just to stay here again.
It's a really nice and clean camping with large pitches. Each pitch has its own water and electricity supply. It is surrounded by nature and the village within walking distance is beautiful. The camping has a heated pool and restaurant. We paid €35 per night, including electricity.
During my entire camping trip through Spain, La Trapera had the best food, kindest staff and most peaceful atmosphere.
Thank you to the fantastic staff and family who went above and beyond.
The best place to camp in Spain :-) Family ran, beautiful setting, full of love! And, the restaurant is amazing as well. A true 10/10 place.
We had 4 nights here at the beginning of July. The setting for the campsite is beautiful. The restaurant really is a good as the other reviews say. The pool is lovely. The staff (mostly the same family!) are so friendly and helpful. The site really deserves 5 stars just for effort.
However, there are a few downsides for those camping rather than staying in the cabins (which are beautiful, by the way!), which is why I have deducted a star: this campsite is still very much under construction. There is no shade. The chemical toilet emptying facility was still not complete while we were there. The toilet block is brand new but was unisex while we were there. Plenty of hot water, hand towels and toilet paper provided, but no soap in the dispensers.
We will be back because it is such a great location. But we will give it some time for the owner to finish building it and hopefully install something to shade the open plots.
We found La Trapera by chance and what a blessing it was! Teresa goes above and beyond, the food was out of this world, the views were gorgeous, and the accommodations clean and inviting. The details and quality of everything blew us away. What a delightful place!
